The Pearl Theater has always been the venue to see concerts and plays in Bonners Ferry, but the theater is expanding programs to include a wider variety of events. Events offered at the Pearl now include groups, workshops, a drum circle, karaoke and much more.

Savage Arms Corporation was founded in 1894 by Arthur Savage. The New York company manufactured firearms, mostly lever-action rifles. During WWI and WWII, Savage Arms produced submachine guns and aircraft machine guns. During the years between the two wars, the company expanded to hit new markets. It became the leading producer of washing machines, lawn mowers, ice cream cabinets, and even the first chainless bicycle. Following WWII, Savage Arms Corporation specialized in firearms for hunters and outdoorsmen, establishing a strong reputation in that market.

Everyone is invited to come dancing Thursdays at the at the Seniors Hospitality Center with lessons ahead of the dance. The community, family event is open to all ages and is presented by the Bonners Ferry Steppers.

In 1885, Sam and Charley Smith arrived in the panhandle of Idaho. They formed Smith’s Passenger, Express and Fast Freight Line, a stagecoach and freighting service. Sam Smith began running the stage between Kootenai, Idaho and the Kootenai River. Smith's six-horse stagecoach teams could run the route in seven hours.
