This week Mrs. Caroline W. Flood, County Superintendent of Schools, will turn over to the schools details of the U.S. Army school contest, which is open to all schools.
The transformer for the new street lighting system for Bonners Ferry arrived last week and was installed on the city’s lots at the north end of Main St.
W.F. Kinnear was in Spokane on Thursday buying new stocks of merchandise and attending to other business matters.

Members of the Boundary Co. School District Restructuring Committee started throwing out ideas last Thursday to reduce the District’s deficit.
Donations from six businesses have bumped the “Raise the Flag Fund” over the halfway mark to $18,000.
Students at Boundary Co. Jr. High competed in a penny war to raise money for the Red Cross Tsunami Relief Fund. Several teachers volunteered to take a pie in the face for this worthy cause.
