Mackey and Berriochoa to wed

Richard and Lucinda Hall of Twin Falls announce the engagement of their daughter, Jennifer Berriochoa, to Thomas Mackey, son of Tom & Mary Mackey, of Bonners Ferry. Hall is a 2002 graduate of Twin Falls High School and a 2006 graduate of the University of Idaho with a Bachelor of Science in elementary education. She is employed at Filer Middle School. Mackey is a 2002 graduate of Bonners Ferry High School and a 2007 graduate of the University of Idaho with a Bachelor of Science in history. He will be employed with Northwest Tree & Reclamation, a family business. The wedding is planned for Saturday, June 16, 2007 at St. Edward's Catholic Church in Twin Falls. A reception will follow at the Shoshone Room, 205 Shoshone Street N. in Twin Falls.

The Lions Club sponsored 4-Wheeler Mud Races May 5 at the Fairgrounds with those entered including: 450-600 Keith Johnson #25, Robert Winey #28, Jeff Urbaniak #19, Jimmy Brooks #15. In the 660-700 were: Steve Leincki #24, Eric Frederickson #2. In the UATL Trevor Winey #27, Gary Purdy #3 and Shane Leineke #26. Pictured above to the right: The crew that prepared the fairgrounds for the Lions Club sponsored ATV mud racing designed a bear of a long mud puddle for contestants.

Jack Stanley Hinthorn passed away after a sudden illness at Kootenai Medical Center in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho on May 6, 2007. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 11 at 10 a.m. at the Free Methodist Church in Bonners Ferry. He was born on Nov. 27, 1942, to Omer Stanley and Leta (McAfferty) Hinthorn in Carlock, Ill.

As you may recall, last winter a major Spokane television and radio transmission tower was severely damaged during a major storm. This particular tower was the transmission base for both KSPS (Public Television Ch. 32) and our Weather Channel (NOAA).

The Badgers traveled to Spartan country last Saturday and came away with two big Intermountain league wins. The wins put the Badger's record 16-5 and 8-1 in league.
