Lady Badgers 'believe' to consolation trophy at state
The Lady Badgers used their “Believe” shooting shirts to win the district championship. Then they proved their new shirts: “Still Believing. We’re not done yet” were true when they earned a win in the consolation (fourth place) game at the 3A girls’ State Basketball Tournament at Skyview High School in Nampa.
Wrestlers send large group to state this weekend
Bonners Ferry Badger wrestlers captured Districts by 1.5 points over Timberlake. Bonners Ferry took 16 wrestlers to Districts and came home with six first place awards, two seconds, four thirds and two fourths. Twelve wrestlers will go to State on Feb. 22 and 23 in Pocatello.

RATHDRUM — The Badgers were down 34-42 with five minutes left in the fourth quarter but scored the final 11 points of the game to upset the number one seeded Spartans 45-42 in the Intermountain League District championship game at Lakeland High School on Feb. 6.

Donna Beth Stoner,76, passed away on Feb. 7, 2013, at her home in Bonners Ferry, Idaho. Services were held at Mountain View Mennonite Church, Bonners Ferry, Idaho, on Monday, Feb. 11 at 2 p.m. with ministers Willis Dyck, Shane Ensz, Ben Nystrom and Glenn Ensz officiating. Interment was in the adjoining cemetery.

Report of weapon causes HS to lockdown
A report of a possible weapon on campus on Thursday, Feb. 7 caused Bonners Ferry High School to go into lock down around 2 p.m. After a thorough investigation by school officials and the police department, it was determined another kid was flipping a kid off from a distance and that kid thought it looked like a weapon, said Supt. Richard Conley.
Wrestlers second in tourney
The Bonners Ferry varsity and JV wrestlers had a very busy weekend finishing up second behind Lakeland in their home tourney. Finals were very exciting with the Badgers placing six men in the final round of 15 places and bringing home five champions, four by pins.
