In 1960, a person could pick up this “application for loan” from The First National Bank of Bonners Ferry, Idaho. The bank was on the corner of Main and Bonner streets.

August J. Baylon joined the bank in 1935 as a bookkeeper and teller. He was an assistant cashier from 1945-1955; then took the cashier job in 1955. He served in that position until 1962, when The First National Bank merged with the Bank of Idaho. He then became the vice president and the loan officer.

From 1954 to 1962, Harold McNally Jr. served as president of the bank. Joseph Bianco was president of the Bank of Idaho when the merge occurred. Also serving at the bank were Lee Mahler and William Mackey, assistant cashiers. With the merger, new staff was hired to join the gentlemen: Mrs. Jack Hummel, Mrs. Alma Christofferson, Mrs. Leon Thomas, Miss Geraldine Bennett, Mrs. May Barry, Mrs. Neal Larsen, Mrs. Stanley Sweet, Miss Lois Anderson, Mrs. Loretta Leonard, Mrs. K.R. Turnbull, and Mrs. William Dickerson.
