Linda Lee (Lamson) Anderson

Linda Lee (Lamson) Anderson passed away at the age of 71 on Sept. 19, 2020, at home in Gig Harbor, Wash. She was courageous in her battle against cancer which she had overcome three times previously. Linda had her two daughters and her sister, Laurie, at her side.

Linda was born on Nov. 29, 1948, to Hugh and Dorothy Lamson in Denver, Colo. The family moved to Boundary County in 1951. She attended Mount Hall Elementary School and graduated from Bonners Ferry High School in 1967. Linda moved to Denver and attended Barnes School of Commerce while living with an aunt and uncle. Linda worked for General Tire before becoming a civilian worker at Fitzsimmons Hospital. Later, she transferred to Fairchild Air Force Base, where she met her husband, Robert S. Anderson.

Linda and Bob were married on July 28, 1973, at the First Baptist Church in Bonners Ferry, Idaho. While in Spokane, two daughters were born, Jennifer Richelle and Kimberly Suzanne.

With Bob working in procurement, they transferred to England for three years. Upon their return, Gig Harbor became home.

She loved quilting, knitting, working jigsaw puzzles and was an avid gardener and square dancer. She also did volunteer work at the local hospital.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Hugh in 1988 and Dorothy in 2014. Her husband, Bob passed away in 2017.

Linda is survived by her daughters, Dr. Jennifer Anderson of University Place, Wash., and Kimberly Smits (Erik) of Federal Way, Wash.; and granddaughter Amanda. She is also survived by her sisters, Lois Weakly (Bob) and Laurie Lowther (Brad), all of Bonners Ferry; and brother Larry Lamson (Elisa) of Beaverton, Ore.; and numerous nephews and nieces.

She will be missed but per her wishes, there will be no service.
