Actions were far beyond acceptable

After years of having lies and conspiracy theories saturate America, along comes a letter epitomizing unreasonable. Carmen Jones wrote a letter called “Liberals: Get their letters out of your paper.”

She is a perfect example of radical, far right intelligence. They claim to be the last patriots yet they either ignore or, most likely, have no idea, what the United States Constitution says in the First Amendment, adopted in 1791.

To cut it short, it protects freedom of speech to citizens and the press, and gives no protection to speech integral to illegal conduct, imminent lawless action and true threats.

The Herald has printed editorials from both sides. Elsie Hollenbeck wrote one giving her educated opinion, as she saw fit, whether you agree or not. Carmen Jones did the same, though she demanded that the Herald violate the First Amendment and relied heavily on what I consider to be lies and conspiracy theories.

Many of the BLM protests became violent, though estimates said only about 10% of the protesters were guilty of it. The riot in the capitol was an act of civil war, incited by government figures. Contrary to Ms. Jones, even the far right citizens and press do not have their head so far in the clouds that they believe Liberals could have been responsible for it.

So, Carmen Jones, go find a more conservative place to live, where the United States Constitution means absolutely nothing.
