Disinformation campaign responsible for COVID's comeback

| July 22, 2021 1:00 AM

The Centers for Diseases control is part of the Department of Health and Human Services. As the nation’s health protection agency, CDC saves lives and protects people from health threats. To accomplish their mission, CDC conducts critical science and provides health information that protects our nation against expensive and dangerous health threats, and responds when these arise.

The CDC employs over 15,000 people, half of whom hold advanced degrees, e.g. master's and doctorate in various disciplines.

The CDC has received a lot of bad publicity in the past year, largely because of the uncertainties associated with COVID-19. Still, with a cumulative base of expertise totaling 50,000 years of study in diseases and control, it is the authority of disease control and study in the U.S.

Fox news is a major force in the spread of disinformation regarding COVID. Sean Hannity and Tucker Carlson have repeatedly denied the seriousness of COVID, calling it a hoax and diminishing in any way they can the validity of the CDC's take on it.

Consider this: Hannity, who got kicked out of seminary and never graduated from ANY school, has constantly promoted conspiracy theories on Fox, including COVID-19.

Tucker Carlson, who has done much the same, has a bachelor's degree in history, which of course makes him an expert in epidemiology.

These two are responsible for making COVID political, COVID is now making a comeback in half of the U.S., and 99% of those now sick were unvaccinated thanks to people like these.
