Boundary County Treasurer, Susan M. Larson, would like to remind all Boundary County taxpayers that the deadline for paying the second half of the 2020 property taxes without penalty is Monday, June 21, 2021 due to the 20th falling on a weekend this year.

Reminders were mailed in May for delinquent taxes (if any) and the second half of the 2020 taxes. After June 22, per Idaho code, a 2% late charge and interest of 1% per month will be added, retroactive to January 1, 2021 on the second half of the 2020 taxes.

Tax payments can be made in person using check, cash, debit or credit card (convenience fees are charged on all debit/credit card usage by the processing company) at the treasurer’s office in room 27 of the Boundary County Courthouse located at 6452 Kootenai Street. Office hours are Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Tax payments can be mailed to the Boundary County Treasurer, P.O. Box 218, Bonners Ferry, ID 83805. Mailed payments must be postmarked no later than June 21, 2021 to avoid penalty.

Credit Cards and other payment options are available online, these services also incur a “Convenience Fee” by the processing company. Please visit the Boundary County treasurer’s page http://boundarycountyid.org/site-page/pay-online.
