ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS CABINET MOUNTAINS WATER DISTRICT BONNERS FERRY, IDAHO PHASE 1-CROSSPORT WELL DRILLING Sealed Bids for the construction of the Cabinet Mountains Water District, Phase 1-Crossport Well Drilling Project will be received by the Cabinet Mountains Water District at the Office of Youngwirth and Davis Associates, 7193 Main Street, Bonners Ferry, ID, 83805 at 2:00 pm local time by October 21, 2021 at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read. The Project consists of drilling and developing a new public water well located at the District's existing Crossport Well Site near the intersection of Crossport Road and Fitzpatrick Road in Boundary County, Idaho. NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING for WATER FEE INCREASES The City Council of Moyie Springs will have a Public Hearing on Wednesday, October 5th, 2021, at 6:00 P.M., at the Moyie Springs City Hall - 3331 Roosevelt Rd. The purpose of this hearing is to take public testimony regarding the proposed increased rates and fees listed below and to explain the reasons for such increases. The proposed increases to take effect January 1, 2022. The following items will be considered: 1)The residential monthly water rate will increase $5 from $30 to $35. The water gallons over the base amount of 25,000 gallons to be charged at an increased tiered rate up to $4.50 per 1,000 gallons. The reason for the proposed water rate increase is to cover the costs for operating the system and the improvements to meet regulatory requirements mandated by Idaho Department of Environmental Quality. 2) The residential water hook-on fee will increase from $3,500 to $4,000. The reason for the proposed water hook-on increase is to cover the expense of installation due to the increase in costs 3) A commercial water rate based at 12,500 gallons per the EDU equivalent of the waterline and usage of the water gallons over the base amount to be charged at an increased tiered rate up to $4.50 per 1,000 gallons. The reason for the proposed water rate increase is to cover the costs of operating the system and the improvements to meet regulatory requirements mandated by Idaho Department of Environmental Quality. 4) The commercial hook-on rate will be as follows: * 3/4" water line at $4,000 * 2" waterline at $8,000 * 4" waterline at $24,000 * 8" waterline at $40,000 The reason for the proposed commercial water hook-on fee is to cover the expense of installation due to the increase in cost and impact on the water system.
