"This year marked the fifth year of our high school orchestra. Although the personnel has at no time been large [this year nine members], nevertheless, the orchestra is warmly applauded at every appearance. During the last year it has played four times. Practices are held once a week throughout the school year." — Rays of Clifty, BFHS Yearbook, 1925

The BFHS band began as an orchestra in 1921. For 101 years (good number as it is the School District 101 number), students, parents, grandparents, teachers and the community has a whole have enjoyed the sounds of the high school band. Whether it is at a sporting event, marching parade, or concert the students of BFHS have shown their Badger Pride.

Many students have lettered in band, and the letters have changed over the years. This letter belonged to Phyllis Ann Neumayer from the Class of 1948.
