Writing contest

There is a writing contest going on and submissions should be turned in at Boundary County Library. Organizers ask community members to celebrate “reading and our library.” There are two topics to pick from, “What the library means to me” or “My favorite book in our library is, and why.”

Please drop off submissions to the Boundary County Library at the front desk of email it to libraryessaycontest@gmail.com.

Please include contestants age or grade, name and phone number to contact winners. Please reach out through email with any questions.

Age divisions include second grade and younger, third-fifth grade, sixth-eighth grade, ninth-12th grade, and adults.

Prices for each age group includes a gift certificate to Bonners Books. First place wins $20, second place wins $10 and third place wins $5. There is a 500-word limit and the submission must be typed or handwritten. Submissions are due Friday, Sept 2.
