| July 21, 2022 1:00 AM

Peter Armando Jimenez passed away July 6, 2022.

He was preceded in death by his mother, father and younger brother. Pete was born in New York City on Dec. 8, 1940, where he lived for 33 years. Meeting his beloved wife, Georgia at their workplace, Union Pacific Railroad, together they had a son, Victor; and a daughter, Christine.

After his career at UPRR, the family moved to Mystic, Conn., where they owned and operated a lobster pound. Before retirement, Pete also worked at Foxwoods Resort and Casino.

Pete was a funny and devoted father and grandfather to four adoring grandchildren. He revered his son- and daughter-in-law as if they were his own.

Pete and Georgia moved to Idaho in 2002 onto “my mountain” where he was at peace admiring his magnificent view and gardens amongst their neighbors. Pete spent 15 years as a proudly involved member in the Boundary County Habitat for Humanity and Boundary County Fuller Center for Housing.

He contributed to the fundraising and construction of six homes for families in Bonners Ferry. He cherished the life he and his wife created over 56 years together.

Although his time with us was cut short and he is so missed, he leaves behind an honorable legacy.

In lieu of flowers, his family asks for donations to the Boundary County Fuller Center for Housing.
