This is a photo of Charlie Thurman who was born in 1901 in Wisconsin. He came to Bonners Ferry just before Christmas 1920.
In 1922, he bought forty acres of bench land, clearing the trees to build a home. By 1948, he had purchased 270 more acres. Charlie married Dora Ruth Fairchild in 1950. He died on January 10, 1990, and is buried in Grandview Cemetery.
