100 Years Ago

The high school auditorium shook with laughter on Friday night during the high school's presentation of "The Alabama Minstrels". The actors had very capable directors in Miss Leach and Miss Olson. 

W.M. Fredericks and W.F. Hanson have leased the north store space in the City Garage building and plan to open an up-to-date music store there next week, under the name of "The Music Shoppe." Both gentlemen have been in Bonners Ferry for some time, having played with the Bush Orchestra. 

Mr. and Mrs. Leo Zimmerman returned last Friday from a ten day's visit with friends and relatives at Bellingham and Hartline, Wash. They report the conditions on the coast as fair, but that they are glad to be back in North Idaho.

A small group of citizens is determined that Boundary County is going to have a teenage and senior citizen center. 

The Badgers are still on top in the A-2 district basketball tournament. 

Douglas Wheaton resigned as field representative for the Kootenai Tribe. 


15 Years Ago

Moyie Shrine Club in Bonners Ferry has presented a near record $12,000 to the Shriner's Hospital for Children. 

Bonners Ferry Girl Scouts participated in World Thinking Day. 

Blaine Invernon and Trevor Hampton win state titles in wrestling. 

Boundary County Middle School 7th grade girls are 12-0 for the season. 

BFHS boys miss state playoff berth after losing by 2 points.
