Trump's baseless claims must be condemned

| June 5, 2025 1:00 AM

President Donald Trump on Saturday night reposted a baseless claim on Truth Social that former President Joe Biden was executed in 2020 and replaced with clones or robots.

Hours earlier, Trump commented that he didn't feel sorry for Biden's cancer diagnosis, justifying that by saying Biden is a vicious human being.

This sort of commentary is consistent with someone who has lost or abandoned all moral bearing. These comments are exceptionally cruel, but they are what we might expect from someone who many times in the past has demonstrated an acute lack of empathy for anyone.

More disturbing than any of this is that the majority of voters in North Idaho still support this man.

Shame on every single one of you who remain silent and accepting of this behavior from anyone, most of all the president. Of course, the emotion of shame has been conspicuously absent from most Trump supporters, evidenced by their non-response to the hundreds of insults Trump has hurled at his enemies, the repeated desire to "take over" Canada," the slurred speech, the utter chaos in the White House and the thousands of lies he has told the American public.

I really wonder just how much longer the public can go on disregarding Trump's obvious mental decline.
