Second half of property taxes due by June 20

| June 12, 2025 1:00 AM

Boundary County Treasurer Jennifer Economu is reminding taxpayers that the deadline to pay the second half of the 2024 property taxes without a late penalty is Friday, June 20.

Please note that the courthouse will be closed on Wednesday, June 19, in observance of the federal holiday.

Handicap access is located at the back of the courthouse, and a phone is at the base of the staircase to call the Treasurer’s office for assistance 208-267-3291. When submitting a check for payment, please take a moment to review the check to ensure it is written properly. As a reminder, the office does not accept post-dated checks, and they will be returned to you.

Tax payments can be made in person using check, cash, debit, or credit card (convenience fees are charged on all debit/credit card usage by the processing company) at the Treasurer’s office in room 27 of the Boundary County Courthouse located at 6452 Kootenai St., Bonners Ferry. Office hours are Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Tax payments can be mailed to the Boundary County Treasurer, P.O. Box 218, Bonners Ferry, ID 83805. Mailed payments must be postmarked no later than June 20 to avoid penalty. The Treasurer’s Office would like to remind everyone that mail does not always get postmarked the day it is delivered to the post office, and a hand stamp postmark can be requested from the post office.

Credit cards and other payment options are available online; these services also incur a convenience fee by the processing company. Internet/website inaccessibility does not excuse late fees and interest.

Visit the Boundary County Treasurer’s website www.boundarycountyid.org/site-page/pay  or Point & Pay website www.client.pointandpay.net/web/BoundaryCountyTreasurer for more information and to make payment.
