KENNEWICK — Thompson Falls High 2025 graduate and Miles Community College (Miles City, Mont.) commit Sarah Koskela struck out three batters over five innings in the circle as The North fell to the Northwest Elite (Garza) of Richland to open their season at the 12th Annual Kate Austin Memorial tournament on Sunday at Lawrence Scott Park.

Sandpoint High rising junior Teagan Newsom and rising sophomore Marlee Stevens both singled in the contest.

KENNEWICK — Sandpoint High 2025 graduate Baylie Hindle went 3-for-5 with two doubles and a team-high five RBI as The North took down the Sundodgers (Harding) of Puyallup in their second game of the 12th Annual Kate Austin Memorial tournament on Sunday at Lawrence Scott Park.

Sandpoint High rising sophomore Marlee Stevens pitched a no-hitter and struck out seven batters across three innings in the circle. Troy High 2025 graduate and Yakima Valley Coillege commit Leslie Gravier and Bonners Ferry High rising senior Sadie Frederickson had two hits apiece, as did Thompson Falls High 2025 graduate Sarah Koskela, who had an RBI triple, and Sandpoint High rising senior Arah Stevens, who smashed a two-run home run.

Bonners Ferry High 2025 graduate and Big Bend CC commit Jaydin Flack added an RBI single for The North, which used a 16-run third inning to pull away.

KENNEWICK — Adrienne Roth, a rising senior at Laurel High of the Greater Billings, Mont. area, struck out two batters over a solid four innings in the circle as The North were defeated by the Washington Thunder of Wenatchee in their third game of the 12th Annual Kate Austin Memorial tournament on Sunday at Lawrence Scott Park. 

Troy High 2025 graduate Leslie Gravier and Sandpoint High rising junior Teagan Newsom both singled in the contest.

KENNEWICK — Thompson Falls High 2025 graduate Sarah Koskela went 3-for-4 with a double, a triple, two runs scored and four RBI as The North bested the Tri-Cities Strike of Richland in their fourth game of the 12th Annual Kate Austin Memorial tournament on Monday at Lawrence Scott Park. 

Sandpoint High rising sophomore Marlee Stevens was 3-for-4 with a double and three RBI. Troy High 2025 graduate Leslie Gravier was 3-for-4 with three singles and three runs scored and struck out five batters across three innings on the rubber for The North, which used an 8-run finale frame to clinch the victory.

Sandpoint High 2025 graduate Baylie Hindle chipped in two hits, including an RBI single, to help The North's cause.

KENNEWICK — Thompson Falls High 2025 graduate Sarah Koskela once again put together a multi-hit effort as The North were defeated by the Lady Rebels (Naylor) of Pocatello in their final game of the 12th Annual Kate Austin Memorial tournament on Monday at Lawrence Scott Park. 

Sandpoint High rising senior Arah Stevens and Eureka High rising junior Marley Neesvig doubled in the contest, as did Laurel High rising senior Adrienne Roth, who also struck out three batters over three innings in the circle.

The North 18U is set to compete next at the Wheatfield Classic Fastpitch Softball Tournament, which is set to be held this Friday through Sunday at multiple fields in the Greater Pullman area.
