Fry Healthcare Foundation Golf Tournament returns June 27

The Fry Healthcare Foundation will host its 15th annual Golf Tournament, set for Friday, June 27, at Mirror Lake Golf Course in Bonners Ferry. The tournament is a community tradition that brings together local businesses, healthcare champions, and golf enthusiasts for a day of camaraderie and purpose, all to support Boundary Community Hospital.  

This year’s tournament is intended to raise the final funds needed to replace the hallway flooring in the upstairs Medical-Surgical and Extended Care Facility units. The new hospital-grade flooring is designed to reduce fall risk, improve infection control, and provide an easy-to-clean, and durable surface for patients, long-term care residents, and staff. The total cost of the flooring upgrade is $79,000, and the tournament is the foundation’s final push to meet that goal. 

The event kicks off with 8 a.m. check-in and a 9 a.m. shotgun start and will include crowd-favorite contests like longest drive, longest putt, most accurate drive and the great golf ball drop. Sponsorship opportunities are available at a variety of levels, many of which include player entries and advertising on the hospital’s 60-inch outpatient lobby TVs. 

Shape, PictureOver the past two decades, the Fry Healthcare Foundation has raised more than $1.3 million for Boundary Community Hospital, supporting high impact needs that improve patient care. Notable purchases have included life-saving devices, surgical and diagnostic equipment, lab and rehab tools, pediatric ultrasound, patient monitoring beds, and emergency transport gear.
