Second Harvest to hold free food distribution June 26
Second Harvest Inland Empire will return to Bonners Ferry for a free food distribution on Thursday, June 26.
Organizers hope to once again serve families in the county with approximately 18,000 pounds of food. The distribution will be a drive-through event held at the east end of the Boundary County Fairgrounds from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Both perishable and nonperishable items will be available.
All who need food assistance are welcome to attend. No identification or proof of residence is required.
Volunteers are encouraged to help, beginning at 10 a.m. from the west end of the fairgrounds.
Organizers thanked Second Harvest Inland Empire, Trinity Lutheran Church, the Bonners Ferry Rotary Club, local families and the Innovia Foundation for their generous support. The events are staffed entirely by volunteers.
Anyone interested in helping or supporting the event may leave a message at (208) 267-2436 for more information.
