Summer Concert Series kicks off at Fairgrounds
The first concert of the 2025 Summer Concert Series got underway June 10, drawing crowds to the Boundary County Fairgrounds for an evening of free, family-friendly live music and community fun.
Jaycee Atkins, fairgrounds manager, said the event marks the beginning of what organizers hope will become a summer tradition. While the goal is to offer fun, family-friendly entertainment for the community, she said the fairgrounds staff hope the series will eventually generate revenue in future years.
For now, the event is free to attend, with the only source of income being the beer garden. The beer garden, known as The Shed Center Bar, is a new addition at the fairgrounds and will be open during most events, including the county fair. Organizers ask that attendees respect the no outside beverages policy if they choose to use the beer garden.
Proceeds from fairgrounds events are reinvested into the venue and used for ongoing improvements.
“The first concert had about 30 people in attendance, and we hope that keeps growing,” Atkins said. “I think it’s going to be great for the community.”
Concerts will continue every Tuesday evening throughout the summer, featuring a variety of local and regional performers. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, relax, and enjoy the music.
The summer concert series currently has four open performance slots, and organizers are still welcoming musicians interested in joining the lineup. Those interested in performing can contact Jaycee Atkins at 208-267-7041.
Performance opportunities are also available during the county fair.
