100 Years Ago

The office of the Leach Transfer Company has been moved from the Rex Theatre building to the Crescent Garage building, directly across the street. 

Bonners Ferry was represented in the district high school track meet at Coeur d' Alene  Saturday by Bernard Jacoby, Jerome Egan, Wallace James, Bill Linden, and Chuck Mason. The local boys, although short in the final check-up for points made a good showing.   

Bonners Ferry's new board of Trustees organized Tuesday by electing O.F. Howe, Chairman; J.F. R. Stamm was re-appointed City Clerk; J.P. Macnamara was again appointed City Treasurer.

Eight persons have filed for seats on the Boundary County School Board- Ray Wold, Pat Kellogg, Wilma Kirkendall, Jim Elms, Charles Pluid, Jr., James Vanderdoes, Wallace Davidson, and Vic Rae, Jr. 

A baseball clinic here in June may feature several super coaches. 

Ivan David captured the "Buckskin" crown in the all-Indian boxing tournament in Prince George, BC. 

The Badgers qualified a whole bus load of competitors for the regional track tournament in Moscow this Friday.

Bonners Ferry Visitor Center has been recognized as the "Outstanding Visitor Center in Idaho". 

The Moyie Mud Bog attracted 3,000. 

Local U.S. Border Patrol donated 10 computers and monitors to BCSD 101. 

Bonners Ferry siblings, Julene and Hailey Johnson, won honors in PBS writing contest. 

Badger golf team has advanced to the State Tournament.
