Boundary County Middle School brings home hardware from district meet

SPIRIT LAKE — The Boundary County Middle School seventh and eighth grade boys track & field teams both placed second at the middle school district championship meet, held this past Friday, May 2 at Timberlake High.

Cody Russell, Sawyer Montgomery, James Cederquist and Brody Swift combined to win the 4x100 relay for the seventh grade boys while Nathan Issacharoff won the high jump.

For the eighth grade boys, Myles McCulla won the 400-meter dash and Shane Rice won the high jump with a clear of 5 feet, 4 inches — eight inches higher than the next best competitor.

On the girls side, the Boundary County Middle School eighth grade girls placed second as a team. Edna Abraham grabbed two silver medals to lead the charge, placing second in both the shot put and discus.
