Virginia June Sharp
Virginia June Sharp, 87, died on Sept. 26, 2018, in Bonners Ferry, Idaho.
She was born on March 24, 1931, in Lodgepole, S.D., to Hollingsworth and Ethel Minnie Olive Meyette Arden.
Virginia was the youngest and last surviving of eight children.
Her family relocated to Columbus, Mont., where she married Spike Jensen in 1947, with whom she had four children. In 1961 she moved to Billings with her children, where she was married to Floyd Sharp in 1969 until his death in 1998.
The biggest change in her life though, happened in 1955 when she chose to dedicate her life, as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, to teaching others about the hope held out in the Bible. Her hope was that the Earth will one day be a beautiful paradise. She always wanted to survive until that time came, but knew that if she died, our creator Jehovah could bring her back to life and she would still see it.
That hope comforts her surviving friends and family now. Until that day, we will cherish our memories of Virginia.
She was a loving mother, being survived by her son Steven D. Jensen and daughters Lorinda H. Jenkins and Holly R. Melcher as well as numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses located at 6829 Kaniksu St. Bonners Ferry, Idaho.
