Badgers wrestlers gunning for state title
BONNERS FERRY — The Badgers are sending 16 kids to the state wrestling tournament this weekend, many of whom will score points and two of whom will contend for state titles.
BFHS JV Basketball
Bonners Ferry’s Mat Evans scored 17 points, including four, 3-pointers in seven attempts, to lead the Badgers to a 60-51 victory over Post Falls Junior Varsity squad on Monday.

Badger wrestlers wrap up the regular season
BONNERS FERRY — The Bonners Ferry varsity wrestling squad took on Kellogg and Timberlake last week. Although the team lost both matches, a handful of wrestlers performed well individually and had no trouble handling their opponents on the mat.
Corps will address spring flooding Nov. 6
Officials from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will share information from its review of the spring 2006 Kootenai River flooding from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Nov. 6 at the Kootenai River Inn, 7169 Plaza Street in Bonners Ferry.
Badger Boys shut down Clark Fork
The Bonners Ferry Badger boys started slow, but steadily increased the pace, defeating the visiting Clark Fork Wampus Cats 79-50 in non-league action Saturday night, led by Ryan Winebark's season-high 25 points.
Juli Ann Abraham
Juli Ann Abraham passed away on June 11, 2010, at Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane, Washington. A wake will start at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, June 15, 2010, at the Kootenai Tribal Hall with a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, June 16, 2010, at 11 a.m. at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Bonners Ferry. Interment will follow in the St. Michael’s Mission Cemetery, Bonners Ferry, Idaho.

Spiritsong's homecoming concert July 29 at The Pearl
The Pearl Theater presents SPIRITSONG international women’s ensemble in the homecoming concert from their recent tour to Iceland on Sunday, July 29, at 2 p.m. at the Pearl Theater in Bonners Ferry. This 15 voice ensemble features women from Bonners Ferry and from Creston, B.C., under the direction of Vicki Blake Thompson, accompanied by Jim Thompson on EWI (electronic wind instrument). Tickets are $10 in advance, $12 at the door, and $5 for students. They are available at Bonners Books and Mountain Mike’s Nutrition.

The Bonners Ferry High School Art program is proud to present the 2019 High School “Art Walk” taking place on May 31, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in downtown Bonners Ferry.

Mirror Lake Ladies' Golf Report
For the week of July 30-31, Game of the Day was “Ace of the Month” and “Longest Drive on Hole #6.” Karen English was Ace of the Month for the Wednesday morning players with an inspiring gross score of 46, and Elaine Morgan was Ace of the Month for the Tuesday evening players with a winner gross score of 54.
Free sports physicals July 28
BONNERS FERRY — Boundary Community Hospital’s Medical Staff and hospital employees are volunteering their time so youth in Boundary County participating in sports receive a free physical.

Fire reported under train
BONNERS FERRY — On Saturday evening, Aug. 5, a fire was reported under a train on the track that crosses over Mirror Lake Road, on the side closest to Riverside Drive. This marks the first time that both North Bench Fire District and South Boundary Fire Protection District responded in unison.
Mirror Lake Women's Golf Association
BONNERS FERRY — This week the Mirror lake Women’s Golf game of the week was Pink Ball. Each member of the team had to play at least 2 holes using the pink ball and their score for that hole was also the teams score for that hole. The team with the lowest score of the cumulative holes using the pink ball was the winner.
Lady Badgers struggle at Timberlake
SPIRIT LAKE — Taryn Soumas scored 17 points, including four 3-pointers, as she led the Timberlake Tigers to a 66-37 victory over the visiting Badgers on Wednesday, Jan. 8. Blayre Jeffs, a 6-foot-5 post, added 14 points for the Tigers, who are ranked #2 in the Idaho 3A state rankings.
Mirror Lake Women's Golf Ace of the Month
BONNERS FERRY — The last week of June means the Ace of the Month competition for the Mirror Lake Women’s Golf. In the Tuesday evening group Renee Murphy was the Ace of the Month with a net score of 32. In the Wednesday morning group Linda Rupley was the Ace of the month with a net score of 35.
