Gordon Woelfle, 11, a member of the JB Tires Bonners Rockies Little League Team, was selected for the Sandpoint Little League All-Star Team out of the 19 players who applied to the team. Each Little League Charter is eligible to create a team to compete in the Little League tournament which culminates in the World Series.

The Badger baseball team ended a phenomenal season by taking third place in the 2016 3A State Baseball Tournament in Fruitland, Idaho. The third place finish gives the Badgers a 24-3 overall record for the year including their first ever back to back league titles and sweep of the IML league.

Bonners Ferry junior Asha Abubakari won the shot put and discus, freshman Makenna Baisden won the 400m and junior Riley Petesch won the triple jump as the trio helped the Badger track and field teams to take third at the Timberlake Invitational on April 28.
