MOYIE SPRINGS — By working around the clock since a Wednesday rockslide derailed a BNSF Railway train and sent the lead locomotive and its crew into the Kootenai River, railroad officials said the track should be back in operation today.

On Friday, Dec. 13, 20 Valley View class finalists for the Elks Hoop Shoot gathered to participate in the school competition. The shooters ranged from third grade to fifth grade, both boys and girls. They were full of anticipation and nerves, but everyone performed the best they could in front of parents and peers.
