Lee Colson was sworn in as the Boundary County Library Board newest trustee.

100 Years Ago The funeral of Albert French, who dropped dead Saturday afternoon at the Simonds Drug Store corner, was held Monday afternoon at the Stookey Undertaking Parlors, the services being conducted by Rev. A.A. Morton interment was held in the Grandview Cemetery. French had recently worked at Perry Wilson’s logging camp in the Leonia district.

4-H showing at fair deadline Jan. 10
Individuals can enroll any time for 4-H, but in order to exhibit at fair and fully participate in all the yearly activities and events students must be enrolled by Jan. 10.

Oldtown murder suspect facing cannibalism charge
James David Russell, 39, is facing a cannibalism charge in addition to a first-degree murder charge for the Sept. 10 murder of David Flaget.

NBVFD raffle winners
Jed Cordier won an Elite 22 rifle from the North Bench Volunteer Fire District in their annual fundraising raffle. Mike Migliore, Mike Glacier and Jim Chase’s names were also drawn for other prizes.
