BONNERS FERRY — As the flowers and trees show signs of spring, the Badgers softball team has been out practicing for its upcoming games. With their first game being canceled due to weather and field conditions, the team crosses their fingers that their game scheduled for April 6 against Troy High School remains in the plan.

Under the new coach Chelsea Taggart, the team of 18 girls has two returning players, Senior Sydney Watt and Junior Kelsey English. Ten sophomore players make up the bulk of the team, and there are three freshman players.

The Badgers’ scheduled April 9 doubleheader against St. Maries has been postponed, making their next games a Friday, April 12 doubleheader at Timberlake.

Keep an eye on bfbadger.com for updated scheduling.

The team members are as follows:

Seniors: Sydney Watt (returning varsity), Hannah Beazer.

Juniors: Kelsey English (returning varsity), Kae Dodge, Brittany Dyck.

Sophomores: Sydnee Blevins, Rikki Cowin, Aleah Jones, Sydnie Jackson, Paisley Schulte, Lillian Merritt, Geneva Freeman, Mateya Falck, Jenyka Regehr, Bria Hyer.
