BCSD wants kids in schools, you can help
Over the last 2.5 weeks, we have continued to see an increase in the number of staff and students with COVID-19. You might be saying, “I am tired of dealing with this, stop trying to create fear, it’s just the flu.” Others might be saying, “This is serious. Why aren’t you doing more? Stop messing around.” The reality is our School Board is working hard to make decisions based on local community conditions and guidance from health professionals.
BFHS off to great start
The school year has been off to a tremendous start. The students and staff at Bonner Ferry High School are challenging at work attending school each day, studying, practicing, competing, traveling, and doing our best to keep COVID-19 at bay.
Testing around the corner and curriculum clean up
Spring is quickly approaching. The curriculum, instruction and assessment department at Boundary County School District is gearing up for ISAT and IRI testing.

If this was about book bans, wouldn’t the Boundary County Library need to have the books?
This cannot be stressed strongly enough … there are no sexually explicit materials in the children’s area of the library. There is no pornography in the library.

Avoiding the summer slide
As an educator, I worry about the summer slide. This term refers to the learning loss most students experience over summer break. Like so many of us, students also suffer from the “use it or lose it” effect.
