Here we are back again with news from AJ's Lanes. Here's The Beef had the High Scratch Game of 635 and the High Scratch Series of 1867. Wicked Pissah had a 777 for High Handicap Game and a 2112 for High Handicap Series.

Santa Claus is coming to town

A fire truck will deliver Santa Claus at 5 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 26, to Georgia Mae Plaza.  He will be there for the lighting of the Christmas Tree downtown on the south end of the bridge, followed by live music at Georgia Mae Plaza by Kokanee Brass.

Boundary District working to change rules on Naples school vote

In a Boundary County School District Board of Trustees Meeting on Aug. 10, 2010, the School Board voted to pursue changing Idaho Law to remove Naples School’s right to vote to keep their school open.

A National Jewel in the Kootenai Valley

The only national wildlife refuge in Idaho north of Boise is in Boundary County. Located five miles west of Bonners Ferry, Kootenai National Wildlife Refuge (KNWR) is also the smallest refuge in Idaho at 2774 acres. Dianna Ellis, Refuge Manager, presented the history of Kootenai NWR at the Friends of the Refuge “Discover the Refuge” program on Oct. 28.
