Elaine Boatman,89, passed away at Ace Elder Care in Bonners Ferry, Idaho, on Nov. 4, 2010.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2010, at 11 a.m. in the Free Methodist Church in Bonners Ferry, Idaho, with private interment in the Grandview Cemetery, Bonners Ferry, Idaho.

B. Elaine Boatman was born July 3, 1921, at Grenola, Chautauqua County, Kansas to Clarence M. and Buena V. Witt. She grade school education was in Kansas, but in 1937 she came to Gooding, Idaho with her parents and graduated from Gooding High School in 1940.  

On Sept. 29, 1941, Elaine married Clarence H. Boatman in Gooding, Idaho.  They lived at various places in southern Idaho, including Mountain Home wherer both worked at the Mountain Home Air Base, before moving to Bonners Ferry, Idaho, in 1958 where they had a farm in Paradise Valley.  She was a homemaker and belonged to the  extension club. She joined the Paradise Valley Grange in 1961 and was a Pomona member, as well as state and national degree member. She held many of the offices in the Paradise Valley Grange.

She enjoyed flowers, gardening and traveling. She will be truly missed.

Elaine leaves two sons Larry Boatman of Bonners Ferry, Idaho, and Michael Boatman of Las Vegas, Nev.; three granddaughters Carly in Alabama, Malia and Emily both of Spokane, nieces and nephews and cousins plus her friends,

Her husband died in 1996.
