Helping Little Hands helps small children

| December 29, 2006 8:00 PM

Dear Editor,

Recently Safeway Stores began a program called "Helping Little Hands."

"Helping Little Hands" came about in an effort to help the babies and small children in local communities.

The employees of Bonners Ferry Safeway Store chose to collect donations of diapers, formula, blankets, toys and gently used infant clothing for Bonners Ferry Ministerial Association Christmas baskets.

We would like to take a moment to thank each and every member of our community who were able to give to this good cause.

Especially to the five men and one expectant mother who gave money and Callie for the blanket fleece. We were able to add diapers, food and new toys.

All together two car loads of donations, including one beautiful crib, were all delivered to the Ministerial Association for the Christmas season.

Once again "Thank You Bonners Ferry" and "Merry Christmas" from all of us here at Safeway.

Helping Little Hands coordinator,

Marcia Kirby
