Ramsey will lead charge for change

To the Editor:

After reading many political campaign statements, I support Jim Ramsey for Senator in Idaho Legislative District 1 without reservation.

Ramsey's opponent says that 50 cents of every tax dollar in the general fund goes to K-1 2 education. Fifty cents seems to be a misleading rationale. How much actual money is in the general fund? How much is left over? Idaho currently ranks 45th in the nation in student funding - not a matter of pride for our legislators.

Ramsey's opponent also cites the value of seniority. This is a negative, as a party line rubber stamp is more like it. We need new legislators who are not bought and paid for with big business and special interests contributions complete with inherent obligations. We need new legislators who will bring the best interests of our families front and center.

Support Jim Ramsey to help restore Democracy to Idahoans.
