Idaho Women in Timber gearing up for holidays

| November 24, 2006 8:00 PM

Whew, the negative election ads are over! And whether or not you're happy with the election outcome, life goes on. Christmas will be here soon and Idaho Women in Timber is gearing up for their annual Christmas wreath sales. These 22-inch wreaths are made locally at the Wreath Farm by local folks. The wreaths are created from four types of Native Idaho greenery, trimmed with cones and a big red bow. And they smell so good!

We can send these wreaths anywhere in the contiguous 48 states for $30. We include a brochure explaining about Idaho Women in Timber and how important our forests are to our life style and community. Wreaths will be delivered locally after Thanksgiving for $20.

Wreath profits support IWIT education projects both locally, on the state level and even nationally. We visit our local schools at least twice a year, for National Forest Products Week and Arbor Day. This year our Kootenai Valley Chapter has donated over $1,500 from our Injured Loggers Fund to aid local injured or ill woods-workers.

Let us help you with your Christmas shopping. Your orders will provide you with a beautiful gift and will help us with our work. We would appreciate receiving orders by Nov. 22nd. For more information, please contact Ina Pluid 267-2590, Rhonda Lopez 267-7803 or Michelle Gross 267-0691.
