First Fridays start Oct. 6 downtown

Bonners Ferry residents have a standing invitation to dress up and enjoy an evening of cocktails, cool music, and fabulous art at Groove Studio beginning Friday, October 6. The event is called, “First Fridays,” and it will occur on the first Friday of every month.

Groove Studio owner Carolyn Testa got the idea from a friend in Colorado who was telling her about their downtown event in Fort Collins that happens each month on the first Friday when all merchants stay open late, serve refreshments, and just get together.

“Since Groove Studio opened in June, I’ve been looking for an evening event to showcase our artists in an atmosphere that is fun – a Friday night to look forward to each month,” said Testa. “Any excuse to throw a party is a good one, and having a standing date each month makes it easy to remember.”

Groove Studio is the new art gallery with 25 local artists on display at the corner of Main Street and Kootenai Street. They’re currently open every day of the week except Mondays.

First Fridays will be held from 6 to 8 p.m.

Everyone is invited.
