Hometown paper only covers Sandpoint, CDA
To the Editor:
I fully agree with the letter in the Sept. 7 issue, written by Don and Gayle Alexander. The "Hometown" newspaper no longer seems to be our hometown. We get the happenings in Sandpoint and Coeur d'Alene. Where is the news of our very interesting everyday people of Boundary County?
So much of our newspaper is devoted to library readings (critiques), sports (I know this is important to some, but not everyone, almost all of the back section), long editorials and Ken's Korner. Not actual news.
Do you not have proof readers anymore? Every issue has misspelled names, misspelled words and misinformation submitted. I know from personal experience that information I submitted was changed, to my embarrassment.
These are just a few of my criticisms. I used to look forward to getting our "Hometown" paper every Thursday, but no longer.
When my subscription expires, I will not renew it.
