Badgers finish fourth at Sandpoint

BLANCHARD — Trevor Koberstein shot a 76 to lead the Bonners Ferry boys golf team at the Sandpoint Invitational Monday afternoon at Stoneridge Golf Course. Koberstein said consistency was the key, especially in his drives, where he was averaging around 270 yards per pop.
Head coach Chad Deitz said it was his team's best round of the season to date, and as they steadily improve the goal is to make it to state as a team. The Badgers finished fourth as a team, with three golfers breaking 80.
"Their scores have been going gradually lower and lower," said Deitz, who has two kids on the team. "We're fine tuning a few things and coming together. They're kids who like to play, that's a huge part of it."
