Gordons send kudos to Elliott and Payne families
Kudos to the entire Elliott family at the Moyie Store and Brett Payne, new owner of South Hill Lockers, for the fantastic grand opening barbecue they hosted for the community.
These two businesses went all out as they served several cuts of barbecue pork, burgers, hot dogs, smokies, salads, baked beans and beverages. It gave all who attended the opportunity to happily visit with their friends and neighbors. It was fun to watch the response of the many winners whose names were drawn for door prizes.
The new Moyie Store is a boon to the community with a large selection of groceries, milk and bread, frozen meats, beer and wine, fountain pop, sports drinks, ice tea, ice cream products, a variety of sundries and services. Besides being the home of the garlic knockers, the store is widely known for its take n' bake pizza.
Open from 6 a.m. until 10 p.m. seven days a week, there is hardly a time when you cannot purchase gas, pick up groceries, or just stop by to visit. We are grateful to the Elliott family and the entire staff at the Moyie Store for their friendly attitudes and cheerful smiles.
Stop by, say hi and thank George, Shirley, Vickie and Melanie, for giving Moyie a whole new lease on business.
Margie and Harvey Gordon
