Fair volunteers, community produced a wonderful fair
We knew that wonderful things were happening before the fair, during the fair and for the next fairs but there wasn't time to show our appreciation.
Our operations and maintenance staff headed by Jim Underwood with help from Shane Curtis and from the county did a great job setting up and keeping things clean.
Sandy Schnepf, fair administrator, took over the position with two months until fair time and did an exceptional job of keeping things running smoothly with the support of general superintendents Janice John, Ann Tompkins and Sharon Schenurle, as well as the many superintendents and many volunteers.
Our thanks to the Idaho Community Foundation and master concrete finisher Mike Rocha for the new sidewalk at the fair office, Dale Remsburg for the untold hours of scheduling and coordinating the entertainment during the fair, Oxford, Inc. for dust control around the fairgrounds, Extension office for the great 4-H events, Falcon Floral for the beautiful plantings all over the fairgrounds, judges in all events who did a great job of teaching and evaluating, 4-H Leaders Association headed by Shelly Smith's group for a wonderful Family Fun Night, and to Valley View PTO for stepping up and running the Dinning Hall. We hear they will do all three meals next year, which is great. Also, thanks to the entrants and display booth participants for a memorable fair.
The Fair Board thanks everyone who helped, as we cannot possibly name you all. The community came together again to produce a super event. Thank you.
