Sex offender gets up to 25 years in prison

A Moyie Springs man has been sentenced for up to 25 years in prison for admitting to raping a 15-year-old girl.

Steven E. Flett, 44, was arrested in 2006 for having sex with the teen in October 2002, according to court records.

Flett impregnated the teen. DNA test supports he is the father, according to court records.

Flett, who pled guilty to the charge, will serve a minimum of five years and up to 20 additional years, and will have to pay $1,500 for DNA testing.
