Curley Creek firefighters thankful
We at Curley Creek Volunteer Fire District would like to thank George Elliott and the staff of the Moyie Store for coming to the aid of Dave and Cheryl Elsberry after fire destroyed their home last Friday.
While firemen and emergency first responders, including mutual aid from the North Bench and Paradise Valley volunteer fire departments, state and local police, and hospital medical responders, were focused on putting out the fire and working to rescue the occupants of the Elsberry house, you and your staff prepared hot coffee and sandwiches and then brought this much appreciated nourishment to the scene.
The thoughtfulness of your contribution, both of food and the use of your backhoe to assist the firefighters, is very much appreciated.
The Curley Creek Volunteer Fire District would like you to accept our thanks and a token of our appreciation for your service. There is no amount of money that can relieve the anxiety, pain and suffering surrounding this incident, but the fire district wants to recognize the out-of-pocket expenses you incurred and wish you to accept this small check as a token of our gratitude.
Our hearts go out to the Elsberry family in this crisis.
Curley Creek Fire Chief Brad Stalcup has offered to coordinate any assistance the community wishes to donate. This community outreach will take some time to put together, but in the meantime we appreciate the immediate support you have supplied, and the very tangible need you met when there was no time to plan, just act.
Again, George, thank you very much.
