Shirley Robbins, 76, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Dec. 13, 2007, with her daughter, Sandy, and grandson, Paul, by her side knowing she was dearly loved by her family.

A memorial service was held Sunday, Dec.16, 2007, in celebration of her life.

Shirley was born June 28, 1931, in Mason City, Iowa, to Morris and Bessie Garfin, where they ran a family grocery store.

Shirley married John Pearson in 1950 and had two daughters, Pamela and Sandra. In 1953, they moved to California following family from Iowa.

Shirley lived in Santa Ana, Calif., working for the Retail Clerks Union until retiring in 1991.

She then moved to Bonners Ferry to live near her daughter, Sandy, and her five grandchildren, Paul, Joshua, Bonnibel, Han and Johnny.

Shirley enjoyed watching her family grow, cooking for them and attending school events. She loved her family unconditionally.

Shirley enjoyed her life in Bonners Ferry and made friends easily. She will be missed greatly.

And this is His commandment that we believe in the name of his son Jesus Christ and love each other. John 1 3:23.

She is survived by brothers Herb, Moe, Milt and Norman Garfin; grandchildren Paul, Joshua and Jamie Bonnibel, Han and John Beggerly, and Jennifer and Mark Russo; great-grandchildren Ryan and Caleb Beggerly, Caitlin and Carlee Russo; and daughters Sandra Kay Beggerly and Pamela Sue Pearson.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Edith Mock.
