St. Maries takes home BF Tourney Cup

The St. Maries Lumberjack wrestlers outscored Timberlake 172-159 to win the Bonners Ferry Tournament Saturday. Kellogg finished in third place with 131.5, Bonners Ferry fourth at 128, with Lake City coming in with 126 points and Kootenai at 23.
In the 119-pound class, Badger Jeremiah Solt won all three of his bouts by pin to take the championship, and Kellogg's Don Madson won three by decision to lead in the 125-pound class.
Badger Ken Swift, handily defeated each of his three opponents by pins to win the championship at 152, and Lake City's Titus Turner was undefeated in three to take the 160-pound class.
St. Maries' Kyle Joiner won two by pin to win the 171-pound championship, Scott Holbrook, Timberlake, won both his bouts by pin to take the 189-pound division.
In the heavyweight division, Bonners Ferry's Jared Stone won three by pin to take the title.
