PRIEST RIVER — In typical Intermountain league action, Tuesdays last home game for the Spartans came down to the wire and then some.

Tied at 49 a piece in regulation, the Bonners Ferry Badgers capitalized and made seven of 10 free throws in overtime to take the win from the Priest River Spartans, 60-55.

"Both teams had good runs during the game.

The free throw shooting (times at °the line especially) was the difference," Spartan coach Bill Ryan said.

The first quarter saw both squads neck and neck but Bonners fell into a slump in the second and only scored 6 points to the Spartans 18.

In the third quarter, it was reversed with the Spartans scoring only six points to Bonners 10. Cody Smith lead the Spartans with 15 points, Jake Christman had five rebounds, Dustin Lehman had four assists, and at three steals a piece was Cody and Micah Smith and Andrew Scott.

Leading the way for the Badgers was Ryan Winebark with 14 points.
