Badger Boys shut down Clark Fork

| January 19, 2007 8:00 PM

The Bonners Ferry Badger boys started slow, but steadily increased the pace, defeating the visiting Clark Fork Wampus Cats 79-50 in non-league action Saturday night, led by Ryan Winebark's season-high 25 points.

At the end of the first quarter, the Cats only trailed by three, 14-11, but the Badgers, with every member getting floor time, outscored Clark Fork 23-13 in the second half and never looked back.

In the final quarter, Badger Ryan Langford caught fire, putting up ten points from the top of the key in quick succession, his only points of the game. Josh Anderson led the Clark Fork effort, putting up 11 points.

The Badgers travel to St. Maries Saturday, then return home to face Kellogg on Thursday, January 25.
