Ah, yes… Boundary County, my home. Most people don't even know it exists. This quiet little community is full of life and prosperity. If you just go for a walk, you'll know why this is such a wonderful place!

The most touching thing about Boundary County is how close everything is connected. There are only a few secret places left where you know your mailman, grocer, electrician and plumber. When you read the local paper you do not think, "Ho hum… That's nice… too bad…." Rather, you think, "No, not him! I'm so glad he's safe! I should send him a card." This is truly a small-towner's small town. That's why I love Boundary County.

Fresh air, beautiful weather, mountains and friendly people are all part of Boundary County. Those are few of the many favorite things of mine. I'm glad that my family moved here. Why might I like it here? I am the kind of girl that needs the outdoors. I enjoy all of the kind of people that live here. I know that if I ever move, I will never forget the environment of Boundary County.

I love Boundary County because everything changes from season to season. In the winter, everything is covered with a white blanket of snow. In the summer, farmers are drenched with sweat from working in the fields all day long in the hot sun. In the spring, trees and the grass are a bright green and most of the flowers have bloomed. The fall is a different season. Sometimes, there is a brisk breeze; other times you are taking layers off because it is so warm. That is why I like Boundary County.

What I love about Boundary County the most is probably the scenery, the rural community, the friendly people, and all the wildlife. In the fall, the trees are beautiful, the squirrels are buzzing about, and the birds are migrating. In the winter the snow comes, and the plants fall asleep. The smells of wood fires escape the chimneys, and fill the air. The mountains are so beautiful, with all he snow and the trees. In the spring everything seems to come back to life. The flowers bloom, and their scent warms the air. The birds chirp and the rain comes and washes everything clean. In the summer the sun shines, and it glitters on the Kootenai river. School is out and everyone is happy. People flock to the Moyie River, they watch the falls, they go swimming, and some go boating. It is a beautiful place up here, and I don't plan to leave for a long time.

I like to live in Boundary County because it is peaceful. In the day you hear the faint whisper of a train, birds chirping and the river running. In the night if you are really quiet you may hear an owl hooting in the distance. Another thing I like about Boundary County is the outdoors. There are lots of out door activities like camping, fishing, and hunting. In the summer you can go swimming, and in the winter you can go ice skating and play in the snow. The last thing I like about Boundary County is the people. Almost everyone is nice and not may bad people live in Boundary County. Boundary County is one of the most peaceful places with great outdoor activities and nice people and that's why I like Boundary County.

I'm a fourth grader at Vally View School in Mrs. Beck's class. My name is Kristen.

I want to tell you some stuff I like about Boundary County.

This is what I like about Boundary County. I love to go ice fishing at Smith lake and Dawson lake. My dad has an ice house and a heater so we stay warm.

It's fun to go fishing in the summer but its really hot. I like all the pretty mountains around us. There really pretty in the summer and winter. The mountains around us are the Purcell Mountains, Cabnit Mountains, and Selkirk Mountains.

There are lots of animals here like white tail deer, elk, mouse, rabits, squirrls, and bunnys.

I like all the pretty flowers and trees I have this one tree in my yard. And at the bottom the three trunks connect. The plants in my yard are so beautiful.

People here in Boundary County are so nice and trust me. There are lots of little stores to visit and hotels that are really cool. The teachers are really nice at school.

So this is what I like about Boundary County.

Why I like Boundary County

My favorite place in the world to live is, Boundary County. I love it so much because it's go friendly, nice people that help eachother and nice friends that you can make a friendship with. I have many friends here and I like them all and I hope to get more!

The people here care for eachother when ill or sick and they help eachother out, when they need help.

Another reason I love this little place, Boundary County is because it is so tiny, cute and beautiful. our little tiny, cute town is just so darn beautiful! My family and I love lots of wildllife and our town has lots of it. I like our town because it is not huge like New York City. I always feel cozy when I go to bed because I know that nothing bad will happen like in New York City. I love the scenery here. I love hiking Clifty and huckleberry picking in the mountains with my family.

One of my favorite reasons I love this town is because I am growing up on it. I love each of my animals all differently. I love loveing up my dog and I love playing with my puppy. I love riding with my pony. I love this tiny, cute, beautiful and friendly town that I am growing up on very much.

Dear Bonners Ferry Herald,

I have several favorite things I love about Boundary County. First of all the towns public library I like it because of all of the different types of books you can read. Second is the Kootnai River Inn for its salon. Third of all I like the Festival of Trees for all the things they auction off. The best thing of all is the county fair I like its animals, crafts, foods, and all the other stuff. I like the wilderness including the lakes Sinclaire which is my favorite and in the winter I love the snow to sled and make forts. I love to see the wild animals it makes up to me. In the summer I like to cool off at the city pool.

Bonners ferry is a wonderful place to live. It has a lot of great scenery to look at. Also, I enjoy spending time with my family in this great area. It has good places to play with your animals. There are nice people all around Bonners Ferry. There are good spots to get your groceries. THe teachers are very nice and kind. Bonners Ferry is one of the best places to live.

NAPLES ELEMENTARY

The wildlive is fantastic. The deer go to our house and eat the bark off your trees. The bear go through your yard to go somewhere. The elk really come to your door. One time when my family was eating dinner an elk came to the door and pressed the bell and my mom went to get the door. And what did she see? An elk! She screamed so loud that the Elk Ran a way. Then she sat back down and we had a wonderful dinner.

Do you want to come? Come to day and you shall see wildlife! The birds fly south for the winter early. The seasons come early, too. You should come right away. come today to Boundary County.

There are lots of wildlife in Boundary County. If you go for a hike you will see mule deer, moose, elk, and white tail. Naples is a good place to go hunting.

There are lots of people in Naples. They are nice. Bonners Ferry is the friendliest town in the state of Idaho. Boundary County people believe different things.

There are lots of Land Features in Boundary County. There are lakes, mountains, trees, birds, nests, flowers, grass, creeks, and stumps.

I love Boundary County because it is a peaceful place to live.

Boundary County is cool. People are nice to us because we are nice to them. Wildlife is so Cool because you will see many deer, ducks, moose, and turtles. It is fun in Boundary County because you can play in your yard and you can go snowmobiling in the snow and you can play in the snow.

In Boundary County, spring has just a little snow. Summer is when the sun gets hot and grass turns dark green. Fall is when the prettiest leaves fall off trees. Winter is last. Winter is when sparkling snow hits the ground. Boundary County loves our seasons!

The second grade did a food drive where they put boxes outside the other grade doors the 1st, 2ond, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and Kindergarten and the cafeteria to give food to the families that can't buy food for their families.

I like living in Boundary County. It has lots of gardens and bugs. Gardens help the air stay fresh.

Boundary County has a lot of people in it. We love our moms and dads and especially God. People also work. We go hunting. My uncle hunted elk.

I love Boundary County. The town in Boundary County is awesome. The town is where you get everything like gas, food, gifts, tools, and a lot of other stuff.

The country is just great. It has wildlife, animals, stores, towns and a lot more. The country has forests, mountains, pasture land, orchards, and fields. In Boundary County there are lots of lakes, rivers, and creeks to go fishing and swimming in. In cities there are hardly any trees, but in the state of Idaho there are lots of forests.

I love wildlife. Animals in Boundary County are great. You can see them everywhere. Our environment is made up of the living and nonliving things. We have lots of wildlife because of our environment in Boundary County people take care of our land that is why we have a good environment.

In the fall I like to rake leaves and then jump in the pile of leaves.

The fall smells good and leafy. In the winter I like to go sledding and snowboarding. In the spring I see flowers and bady animals. In the spring I like to go fishing. In the summer I like to go swimming. I like the winter most. I like how the seasons keep changing.

People can believe different, and dress different but our community is still the friendliest. In the state of Idaho people help the state. People also help the environment. People also help by giving people food. People like our community because it is kind, helpful, and nice.

The land features in Boundary County are so beautiful. The grass is so green. The forests in Boundary County are so peaceful and beautiful.

Boundary County is special because we are free to do what we want in a safe way.

Boundary County is a fantastic little place because the people care. They give food to people who are poor and have no money. People help old people down the stairs and to the store.

My favorite season is winter because there are no bugs and Idaho is beautiful with snow on the trees. Spring is nice because that's when the snow melts and summer is good because school is out. I like winter because you can make snowmen and snow angels.

Boundary County means more to me than a county. It feels more like a home. Boundary County has four lovely seasons. In winter it's fun to build snowmen, make snow angels and make a snow fort. In summer I like to go swimming, go fishing and go for hikes.

Boundary County has fun activities like fairs and rodeos. I love all the kinds of trees like ones that stay green, have leaves and lose leaves I like all of them.

The wildlife is beautiful because the animals are healthy like deer, elk, moose and bears. Boundary County has plenty of farm land with lots of animals like chickens, sheep, cows, horses, swine, rabbits, donkeys and more. The people are generous but very busy especially grownups because they have jobs. There are about 5,000 to 6,000 people. Boundary County is the friendliest county in the state of Idaho. The people try to help the environment. They help each other. People like the county because they want it to be a better place. The land is pretty. It has lots of rivers and lakes. Boundary County has lots of land and fields. I think Idaho is lucky to have a county like this.

Bonners Ferry is the best town ever because he schools are fun. The students are good in class. We learn a lot in class. The people in our community are delightful.

My favorite things to do are camping, fishing, and hunting.

The town in Boundary County is very, very nice and cool. The people are super nice. The schools are really fun. There is a Native American tribe called Kootenai.

The land is really healthy and clean. Boundary County has creeks, lakes, grass, and mountains. I like to go fishing, and my sister likes to jump in the creek. The grass is very green. The mountains are great for skiing and snow boarding.

My favorite thing to do is watching the wildlife.

I like to live in Boundary County. Some people live in the country and some in town.

I like to play soccer. We won every game. There are really nice people that play soccer.

There is alot of wildlife in Boundary County There are moose, wolves, elk, cougar, eagles, coyotes, bears, fish, bobcats, ratcoons, skunks, opposums, deer, porcupines, and foxes.

In the summer we went hiking to the top of Myrtle Peak. We hiked down to the lakes and there was a big roch that went into the water. We jumped over and over into the lake. It was probably six feet above the water. We caught four fish while we were there.

1. We have four seasons. First it's spring, then summer, fall and the last season of all winter. Winter is here that is why the ground is white. White is everywhere. Look up and down, there is white!

2. The people in Boundary county are so sweet, nice, kind, careful, and helpful. I mean it's unbelievable how nice these people in Bonners Ferry is the friendliest town in Idaho.

3. Boundary county has wonderful wildlife. It's unreal how many deer, moose, birds, fish and other animals are in Boundary county. Wildlife is so cool.

4. The land features in Boundary county are hills, rivers, lakes, valleys, and many other wonderful things. I go fishing on the lakes and I enjoy it.

5. The thing I like best about Boundary county is the stores and for an activity in Boundary county is going, I like to go to the carnival and the fair.

There is a lot of fun stuff to do in Boundary County like skiing, sledding, playing outside, riding bikes, playing sports, going to school, playing games, having snowball fights and making snowmen. It's fun living in Boundary County! All the people in Boundary County are really nice. Bonners Ferry was elected the friendliest town in the state of Idaho.

The wildlife here is beautiful. All the animals here are magnificent.

Boundary County is very small. It is the friendliest county in the state. People help out and they care.

Bonners Ferry is the best town ever. In the town there are really nice people who help out buying other people clothes. They build houses for people who do not have any homes.

We have lots of wildlife. There are deer, grouse, elk, bear, mountain lions, fish, and moose. Our resources are trees, lakes, rivers, plants, and grass. Good soil helps plants grow. Soil comes from garbage. I like all the fun activities you can do in Boundary County.

I like Spring in Boundary Couty. Spring is full of wonderful leaves and trees. My birthday is also in Spring. Spring has flowers and dandelions and tulips and daffodils. This is when the leaves grow back on the trees. The snow melts in Boundary County. The mountains become beare. I like all seasons. In the summer we go boating. In the winter we go snowmobiling and sledding. My dad plows our driveway in the winter.

Lanai

Boundary County is a nice place to live. We have fresh food, water, air and dirt to help plants grow so we have oxygen. Boundary County is one big ecosystem with very nice people. The town is not crowded.

In winter I like to go sledding and decorate Christmas trees. In summer I like to go swimming. In fall I like to jump in leaf piles. In spring I like to run around and smell the flowers.

The county has wide open spaces with fields for moose and deer to eat and for kids to run around in.

The people here love to play and laugh with children. We are the friendliest town in the state of Idaho. People can look different. It does not matter what color you are. It matters who you are on the inside. The people in our county take care of the environment. People help by gathering wood for each other.

The seasons are beautiful. Fall has very pretty colors. In winter when the sun shines on the snow you can see sparkles in the snow. In fall we have mixed trees.

The land is lovely. We have lakes to catch fish in. Have very mighty rivers.

Boundary County is special because it has so many activities that are fun to do.

Boundary County is the best County in Idaho. Boundary County has great people. Everyone is very helpful. Bonners Ferry is the friendliest town in Idaho. People help other people. Some ways they help people is by helping people that can't walk very well, they help people get food, a house, and wood for fires.

In the winter a lot of people snowboard, sled, and ski. Every season people go out side and play. There are a lot of lovely mountains. There are rivers and flowers. There are a lot of glamorous lakes and ponds that have fish, geese and a lot of animals around the lakes and ponds. There usually is a lot of snow. A lot of people go outside and lay in the snow. There is a lot of fun activities to do in Boundary County. Our County is delightful.

Boundary County is big to me. The people are nice, and are helpful to new people. They are the friendliest people in the U.S. The people might look different but they are the nicest and help other people. The people play with each other.

Wildlife is the prettiest. here are many animals in Boundary County. There are elk, moose, bear, deer, ducks, cougars and wolves. The moose antlers can grow to be 20 to 30 inches long. I saw the inside of a deer before and it was nasty.

Spring is so beautiful. The sun is out and the flowers are out. When I want to play with my friends in the spring, we still have to wear sweaters. In the winter time it is cold out. When summer is here we might go hiking on the Roman Nose. The fall is very pretty because all of the leaves are so many different colors like red, yellow, orange, and brown. I'm happy to live in Boundary County.

We have lots of land features like trees, grass, waterfalls, brooks, water, lakes, sky, clouds, and sun. I enjoy going camping in Boundary County.

There are thousands of people. They can be nice to each other. They are friendly people. People can look different but they can live here still. We help our state and we help our people.

There are many different animals in Boundary County. Wildlife is good for the environment. There are bears, deer, moose, elk, cougars, eagles, and ducks. My dad shot a big cougar. It was mounted on a rock and is really pretty.

In the summer. I go swimming at Twin River. I learned how to swim and dive at the city pool.

In the fall I like to rake leaves then jump in them. There are different color leaves like red, brown, yellow and green. It's fun and the leaves fly up in the air. I love Boundary County because it is the most wonderful place in world.

In Idaho, there are four separate seasons, Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter. Spring is the season that flowers are growing, cubs are being born, and the snow is melting. My favorite things in Springs is my cousin Maecies's birthday, watching the flowers grow taller and taller, and starting a new year. Summer is the season that Father's Day comes and kids are growing older. My favorite things about Summer are my friend's birthdays (including mine), school is out, homework is gone forever until fourth grade, and I get to sleep in. Fall is the season Halloween comes, Thanksgiving comes, and Columbus Day comes. My favorite things about fall are colored leaves, windy days, cold days, and also rainy days. My favorite things about Winter are Christmas, New Years Eve, and also my cousin Brandon's birthday. The land features in look amazing because the people in Boundary County take really good care of them.

My favorite part about Boundary County is the separate seasons.

The Town is cute like Hazzard on the Dukes of Hazzard, except not as old.

In the winter I go over by my grandpa and ask if I can ride his snowmobile and he says, "yes" usually. The we ride out in the field. In Boundary County spring is the first sign of green grass and flowers and more stuff the wildlife needs. In fall it's cool not hot or cold. I go hunting in fall sometimes, but it's really hard because the animals see you if you don't have the right clothes. Summer is very hot because the days get longer and longer.

Boundary County is a good caring county with good people that do things for others.

I like to play in snow. I just love the snow when it comes every year.

I like the summer it is fun. You don't have school and you can stay up late.

I like hiking because I want to see wildlife.

We have a small town but the people are very nice! We can ride dirtbikes and go horseback riding. You can see wild life in your back yard. There are many kinds of trees and trails and many snowy mountains that you can drive to. You can go fishing in the creek. There are lots of little trout in the creek. You can go on rides or go on walks down the county road. The store sells great food like fudge, flour, and pies. You can go snowmobiling around the country. The kids are very kind and they like to play with other kids around the country or their next-door neighbors. People have different religions and different nationalities. Some come from France or Mexico. People pay for schools to stay open.

The friendliest town is in Boundary County. The people in Boundary County are really nice. They like other people and kids.

There are lots of animals. I like deer and elk to eat. My dad shot a doe in the neck. He is going to give us some meat. I like to go fishing with my dad.

People in Boundary County are nice. The wildlife in Boundary County is really awesome. Cougars live here and they hunt animals. You can go to swamps and see animals at night, and at water falls, and in your yard.

I love the seasons. Summer and winter are the best seasons. Summer is when it starts getting warmer. Winter is when it snow, and snows, and snows. The land features are really awesome. There are a lot of activities. You can hike and climb trees. You can climb mountains and play hide and seek. The town is cool and nice. It's a really small town. The river is realy awesome. I really like this country!
