Come out and run Cross-Country Season begins soon
Come run for fitness, competition and esprit de corps. Bonners Ferry High School Cross-Country officially begins on Aug. 10, at 4 p.m. at the high school track for a meeting and stretch practice.
Morning practices will begin the next week at 6:30 a.m., at the high school. Those in their freshman or junior year, or those new to sports, will need to get a physical. Boundary Community Hospital is hosting free physicals on July 31 from 6-8 p.m., at the hospital, so swing by the high school for other paperwork. Please call Coach Paul Bonnell at 267-0834 with any questions and to get set up in a running group prior to the season beginning.
Any high school student is welcome, and cross-country is the perfect way to get in shape for winter sports. It provides opportunities in itself for personal challenge and a strong commitment to being a member of a team.
Surprise yourself with the benefits of running and core fitness, while training and competing in some of the best cross-country running terrain in the region. Run with people who encourage each other to get stronger, faster and fitter.
