| July 27, 2007 9:00 PM

Mary Catherine (Hankins) Meyer passed away July 16, 2007 at Kennewick General Hospital from an extended illness.

Mary was born in Shelby, Mont., on July 21, 1929 to Henry Hawkins and Hazel (Nordin) Hankins.

The family moved to Bonners Ferry, Idaho where Mary attended schools. She graduated from Bonners Ferry High School in 1948, where she met the love of her life, Herbert W. Meyer.

They were married on Aug. 23 in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. They had five sons: Theodore William, who preceded her in death; twins, Randy Lee (wife Jane) from Nampa, Idaho; Ronnie Lynn from Baker City, Ore.; Valentine Ralph "Rocky," Kennewick, Wash., and Eugene Tony (deceased).

The family moved quite often following Herb's work in construction.

They lived in Jerome, Idaho for many years where she worked as a cook for the Jerome School District and later went to work for the Tupperware Corporation until moving to Washington for retirement.

She enjoyed very much going with her family hunting and fishing. She enjoyed going back to Bonners Ferry, Idaho for her class reunions and being with her classmates, especially Belah Anderson who was her lifelong buddy.

Mary will be missed very much by all of her family. Her sisters Marguret Atkins from Ignacio, Colo.; Eileen Meyer from Bloomfield, N.M.; Murna (Lee) Graese from Salem, Ore.; Bonnie (Gary) Ake from Anderson, Ind.; a brother, Henry Hankins, deceased.

Numerous nieces and nephews, especially Brenda Tole who was by her side continually until her passing, many brothers and sisters-in-law, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Go with God Mary. We will miss you very much.
