ARISO thanks community

| March 5, 2007 8:00 PM

Once again the generosity of our community has overwhelmed me. This is a letter of thanks to the many kind people who contributed to helping ARIOSO: the Bonners Ferry High School Honor Choir raise the funds for their performance for the All Northwest Music Educator's Regional Convention in Portland, Ore., last weekend.

Our choir was the only Idaho choir invited to perform for this six state gathering of elementary through university level choir, band and orchestra educators.

Thanks to your support, our choir not only did a great job of representing our community, but our whole state. After the performance, many educators from all over Idaho came to us saying how proud they were to have such a fine musical ensemble representing Idaho. It was possible only because of your generosity.

Special thanks to the Badger Booster Club and Susan Kastelic, Rotary Club, the Kootenai River Inn, Echo Springs Transitional Center, Kuntz Piano Tuning, Terry Wright- one of the Groove Studio artists, Thrivent Financial Services, and Marty and Teresa Becker who were major donors.

A hearty thank you to all those who offered items for our silent auction, to all those who bought pies, cookies, and auction items, to those who came and donated at the Gala Concert, to Trinity Lutheran Church which hosted rehearsals and performance at no charge, and to all the parents and supporters who helped in innumerable ways.

I had my doubts as to whether we could do it, but I should have known better! You all are amazing! You had a very real part in the immediate standing ovation and the many kudos these incredible young people earned.

Bravo Bonners Ferry! You did it again!

Sincerely,

Vicki Blake
